as stated here in this community, the prob with te motor of the sunroof is in many cases a worn sprocket between the motor/gear-unit and the roof itself (the roof doesnt move an you her a rat-tat-tat from the mechanics) .. in those cases it might help if you mount some washers between the motor/gear-unit and its fixing points, so another segment of the worn sprocket will be used for transmission and you might save the money for the new motor.
