Es schmiert zB die Dichtringe der Wasserpumpenlagerung. Weil der Korrossionsschutz mit der Zeit unwirksam wird, muss Kühlmittel etwa alle 3-5 Jahre gewechselt werden. Der Frostschutz lässt nicht nach.
