Ok, so I found out it was the bulb contacts which weren't good. Also I found out how the wiring goes.
the switch have 6 pins, 3 for the defogger and 3 for the fog lights. when you press the button, a 12v pin will be connected to the other 2 pins. One goes to the tell light and one goes to the consumer.
