C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95
#46

Check all connections , control device, ground cable, Map-Sensor, Lambda .....

Compression is 11 bar. Valve clearance checked, outlet 0,2 mm, inlet 0,15 mm?
Firing order is 1-3-4-2.
Switch on ignition, then wait 60 seconds before starting.
Another way is to push gas pedal down for a very short time while cranking the engine.
Always check for wet plugs. Tubes all clean and connected,
Map sensor tube also very important.
Distributor is old. Firing order is correct. Valve clearance was adjusted.
I only get 5 to 4 bars of compression when engine is cold and without pressing the gas pedal, maybe that's the problem?
Plugs are brand new and dry. I tried starting the engine with the gas pedal down, didn't work.
All Connections seems to be fine.
Not quite sure what is the Map sensor tube.

All I know that I was able to start the engine several times after the head gasket was blown if I let it rest for a few hours between start ups. But after a while it didn't start anymore. So the problem doesn't have to be related to the head gasket replacement. I ordered a fuel compression gauge and a TDC sensor. If you have a tip until I get them, I'll appreciate it.

Distributor and finger should be NEW, show a photo of it.
There have to be no traces of any kind of dirtying.
The charcoal pin in the center must be clean and mobile.
You ask too much, not good.
Compression is too low, so remove plugs and disable injector, then crank
a few seconds to remove gasoline from cylinders.
Then add a bit engine oil in each cylinder ,crank the engine again.
Battery has to be at least 12.5 volts .
Dont order too much, it looks not good for now.

I think the mechanic screwed me up and didn't check and didn't fix the sealing of the valves.
I removed the valve cover and checked compression again and I have
1. 7 bars
2. 3.5 bars
3. 3.5 bars
4. 7 bars

Thats not o.K., but the engine should start anyway.
At least cylinder 1 and 4 should fire.

Do you have the possibility to bump start the car?
I mean bump start like push start, not jump start.

No, I put 4 liters more, the fuel gauge started to get a strange blink and stopped working after I disconnected it from the fuel pump and tested the voltage i the connector.

Flashing Fuellamp is a sign that you have an electronic Problem to the "Computer" in the Car. Please make the Battery full, i think its low, disconect it for a Minute, conect it and then make the Ignitition on for 10 Seconds, then you can start. In this 10 Sec. the "Computer" make a Selftest. Try it out, my Fingers cross.

Blinking shows poor contact from the tank connection.

I still have air is still in the system. So much air must come from outside, right? It must be exhaust gases or fuel mixture, right? Because compression is low in 2 cylinders.
The question is, what could be wrong?

Thats Gas from the Motorrun. See your Pressure at Zyl. 2 and 3. now you understand why its 3,5 Bars?

In the first run the fluid must be degassed, so thats normal.
But I would do that with the cap on to avoid the spillage.
