Meins hier ist genauso entstanden.
Da habe ich nicht durch den Sucher geschaut.

Gibts hier nicht Hier nach Eiderstedt an der Westküste kommen nur Rentner hin

und lasse den das schwarze Relais ziehen.
Das Teil sitzt sehr fest, denn es hängt Überkopf und darf ja nicht rausfallen.

Daran kann ich mich jetzt orientieren weil ich weiß, in welche Richtuing ich die Kamera gehalten habe.
So werde ich das Relais auch im Dunkeln finden.
Ob ich das neue auch wieder einfach reinbringe, glaube ich noch nicht.
Da wird man mein Fluchen wahrscheinlich noch in Dänemark hören.

I have the following relays in my phase 1 twingo easy:



So you are saying the blue is the wiper, brown is the defogger, black is the flasher. what's the white one?

Also anyone know what's this connector for? Maybe an aftermarket alarm I removed in the past?

My defogger doesn't seem to work and its light doesn't turn on. Also the wiper doesn't work on interval speed.

The white one ist the beeper for the easymatic.

But you have not an Easy, you have an normaly Shifter.

It was with easymatic but was converted to full manual before I bought the car because it failed like all of them do and it's not worth to fix it. I guess I can remove this relay then.

If you are removing the relay, check for a comfort relay (for example from a VW). This gives you an interval with free time setting. Definitely worth the effort (only effort is looking for one, exchange is plug and play).

Yes, use the VW 99 relay. I did and it worked without any problems (assuming you get a working one )

Here is how to operate it:
- Start in OFF position
- Switch to INTERVAL and directly OFF again
- Wait for the period of time you want your interval to be (e.g. until your windscreen is full of raindrops again. There is a max. possible interval time, but I dont remember it. Just try out for yourself)
- Switch to INTERVAL again. Voila, your interval is set. Until you switch to OFF again.

There is a standard interval time set in the relay, so you can simply use it without setting, but for every time you want a special timing, repeat the described method. Dont worry, its easy and becomes second nature pretty soon.


This is a thing that I really damn miss on my Twingo 1p3 with UCH !

Turned out the brown relay is used also for the starter. If you remove it, you won't be able to start the car.
I spent one day trying to understand why i can't start the car and turned out I had a bad engine ground because I removed the ground strap thinking it's a fabric strap used to hold something related to the automatic clutch I don't have anymore. I never thought this strap is a conductor, it looks fabric.

My defogger went back to work until recently when It was on too much time and now it doesn't work. I am not sure the brown relay is for the defogger, it is definitely the starter relay. The question is what is the defogger relay then?
The manual says there are only 2 relays, defogger and indicator light which doesn't make sense

The defogger has no relay.
If you turn it on for too long the combined switch for the defogger and the foglights burns out.
It did so in my black twingo.

... Heute stelle ich fest dass die Heckscheibenheizung nicht geht. Kontrolle auch nicht. Schalter ausgebaut, Stecker lässt sich nur mit viel Gewalt trennen. Was ist passiert? Durch Übergangswiderstand verschmolzener Stecker. Mist. bekomme ich auch wieder hin, dennoch ärgerlich...
