I'm trying to find a clip clone that actually works with the 12 pin connector.
The first one I bought was a cheap one, it was able to connect both when engine was running and engine was off. But it had a lot of disconnections.
The second one I bought was the high quality gold one which has no disconnection problem but can't be used when the engine is running.
This is going to be the third one and I wanted to make sure that it will work. Anyone bought a clip that works with no issues when the engine is on?
If so, please let me know the exact model or link.

Auch wenn es trivial erscheint.
Es ist extrem wichtig zuerst bei stehendem Motor eine Verbindung herszustellen und erst dann den Motor zu starten.
Es gibt keine Verbindung zum Steuergerät wenn der Motor bereits läuft.
Mit dem 12 Pin Stecker habe ich Erfahrung (auch die dass die Verbindung zum Airbagsteuergerät nicht gelingt obwohl die Kontrolle blinkt.).
Mit dem C3G habe ich keine Erfahrung.

I tried all combinations. As soon as the engine runs. The usb device gets disconnected. Trying to connect to it again is causing immediate disconnection. 12 pin working is good enough for me to buy. Do you remember the chips or model or anything that will help me find the same board?
I also tried connecting the battery to a charger and disconnecting the alternator thinking maybe voltage is unstable when engine is running. It was still the same problem.

Die USB Disconnects sind bei dem grünen PCB normal.
Die gute Version (AN2135 bzw AN2136) wird nicht mehr produziert. Es gibt aber noch Restbestände. Bitte kein AN2131 kaufen, der hat die selben Probleme.
In welchem Land wohnst du?
Bist du sicher, dass der C3G überhaupt mit CLIP läuft? Da gabs doch den ominösen Prüfkoffer X25...
Wenn du mit dem AN2136 mit neuren CLIP Versionen arbeiten willst, musst du die erst patchen. Ausserdem brauchst du Windows 7 32Bit (!)

Lieferung aus Grossbritannien auswählen. Vielleicht wird er dir schreiben dass er keine mehr auf Lager hat in England. Aber das ist ne Lüge. Er verdient mehr, wenn er aus China schickt. Auf Lieferung aus England bestehen.. kommt innerhalb von einer Woche..

Hi yamstar. Yes. C3g works with clip. I experimented with all types of diagnostic tools. Ddt2000 can't work with c3g and magneti marreli ecu. Xr25pc works but you can't erase faults and its doesn't show much info. Clip looks like the best interface for diagnostic. The current top quality clip I have now is the gold board with cypress an2131qc. The previous I tried was the green board unfortunately I don't have it anymore and don't remember what chips it had. But it did work occasionally as you can see in this video I posted.

AN2131qc ist nicht gut. Das Teil führt besonders bei alten Autos zu Problemen.
Teilweise muss in den Clip Clones ein Widerstand gewechselt werden, da der falsche verwendet wurde. Siehe hier:

Good to know, yes I'm selling it on ebay now for 70 dollars.
I live in Israel. I don't mind taking the risk of paying taxes. When you say I need to patch it, what does it mean? to solder the resistors?

Nein nein NEIN.
1. Bezieht sich der billige Preis auf das grüne PCB.
2. kann der nurnoch AN2131 liefern (gold). Früher hat er mal AN2135 verkauft und man konnte es anwählen.
Es ist egal wo du kaufst. Hauptsache es ist AN2135 oder AN2136. Diese Dinger haben immer einen goldenen oder silbernen Streifen am Rand. Es gibt günstigere bei Ali, wenn es aus China verschickt wird. Ist aber nicht einfach zu finden, weil es bei vielen nur noch im Titel steht aber dann nicht auswählbar ist.
Mit patchen meine ich die Software. Die neuen CLIP Versionen laufen nicht mit dem AN2136 zusammen ohne das sie gepatcht werden. Das bezieht sich aber nur darauf, dass CLIP das Gerät nicht mehr findet. Funktionieren tut es einwandfrei.

Für DDT2000 brauchst du Version 2 und Windows XP und Internet Explorer 6

Yes, but I got information from the Bulgarian renault forum that ddt2000 does not support c3g with Magneti Marelli MM06 ECU.

At least I can use also xr25pc to some degree. Ddt4all needs an elm327 I don't think it can connect to the 12 pin like to use the k-line of it like I'm doing with the xr25pc and the ftdi ft233r or can it?

ddt4all uses the same files as ddt2000.
Wenn ddt2000 also nicht funktioniert, wird es ddt4all auch nicht. Ich habe gerade keinen Zugriff auf meinen Laptop.. Wichtig ist dass es eine XML Datei für das Steuergerät gibt. Theoretisch sollte es funktionieren, wenn CLIP reinkommt.... mit ddt kommt man aber angeblich auch nixht in Bosch ABS Steuergeräte.

I am happy to announce I found the problem after many tests.
The usb cable supplied with the can clip is too long and the voltage drop causes the can clip not to be recognized by the windows computer when the engine is on.
I tried a short cable and it works. Not perfectly though but enough to get some data when the engine is on.
I am using the gold board with the AN2131q chip.
