Is it easy to replace the seal of the gear selector? - ronenfe - 12.11.2019

I noticed the dust cover is dry and the seal may leak a little.
I have seen here a post regarding it recently but I can't find it.
How can I replace the seal. Do I need to drain the transmission oil first?
Also what is the purpose of the sensor to the right? It may leak too.

As long as there's still some greenery growing under your car, you're fine Smile

The sensor is leaky ,malfunctioning with reverse gear indicator in the right backlight is possible.
