Can someone explain me the difference between those 2 calipers? - ronenfe - 11.11.2019

I don't even have c066 or c067 or s066. I have c063 but the current caliper I have looks like this one and not as the c063 in the file.
I have Twingo Easy 95, maybe they used different calipers there? mine is written Lucas on it, how do I know which one I need? what's the difference?

Perhaps someone replaced the Bendix brake with a Lucas.
Thats o.K. because the Lucas is way better.
Keep in mind that you need the 12mm disks and not the 8mm ones.
Look, you can even upgrade to vented disks http://www.twingotuningforum.de/attachment.php?aid=3980

Thank.

I don't think any previous owner did such a massive job on the brakes, I bought it when it was 12 years old. But maybe, if it's not possible Renault switched to these brakes for the c3g Easy 1995.
Anyway I've already replaced the disks a year and a half ago with the 8mm because I didn't know I don't have a c3g system, Is it a problem besides wearing faster?

I read in www.onlinecarparts.co.uk the difference between the 2 calipers:
7701201965 is Inner width [mm]:66,5
7701201769 is Inner width [mm]:58,5

I'll check the inner width of what I have and order the same.

The Problem with the wrong disks is that the brake pads might get stuck between the calipers and the disk once they are worn.

66,5 mm is for ventilated disks, not your business.

Yes, I measured it and it's 58.5mm.

Do you think it's dangerous to be with the 8mm? last time I replaced the discs when they reached 7mm, I'm not even sure they were 12mm originally. I didn't have any issue. I read the 12mm minimum thickness is 10.5mm.

Is there a manual for this kind of brakes? The manual I have mr305twingo3-section30-37.pdf shows only the older type.
Looks like Renault 5 Haynes book has the info, it looks like the same as a Girling caliper.
