Hello Feunde.
Since my German is not that good I would like to type in English if permitted.
Recently my ABS + Maintenance light started lighting up.
In a Simple ELM327 dongle I read: C1042.
They go off and on depending on speed, but i can't really state a certain speed at which they go on and off. I can say that above 40/50km/h they are always on.
I Bought the Autel 619 OBD Scanner.
It reads:
DF091 Front Left Wheel target.
Im assuming this is driver side.
I have not checked anything yet.
The plan I made after reading is:
- Check Abs Reluctor Ring for damage / dirt.
- Check ABS Sensor for dirt.
- Use a meter to measure resistance on the sensor which should be somewhere between 500 and 1500 or so? At least on average for a car. I can't find the exact value for Twingo II.
The crazy part is. When I read live data.
I will see that Front left wheel and Rear left Wheel give the same values.
They give the right value at times but then quickly go to 655 km/h.
And then when I change driving speed they go back to reading the correct speed which is the same as the two other wheels.
Now Before I check the steps I stated above, I would like to know if this could be a abs pump issue or something else.
Cause I think it's quite crazy that all out of a sudden 2 sensors would be giving wrong readings.
Also its odd that the rear left wheel also gives out wrong readings but does not show as an error code like the front left wheel.
I have to drive a bit to go to a self-service garage and check this stuff out.
So would be nice to go as prepared as possible.
Thanks for reading!
