Hello!

First sorry for writing in English but my German is bad/not fluent. If this is a problem I will get a friend to translate it for me. Wink

Here's a problem with my Twingo. (96, still has the C3G engine)
When I try to start it, it doesn't fire up on the first try, just makes a sound like in the video. Then on the 2nd or 3rd or 10th try it starts. A few times I couldn't start it after 20 tried so I pushed it and dropped the clutch from 2nd gear and it started right away.

Is this a starter problem? I've been looking at starters on eBay, are they the same on the D7F engine? (from 1996 forward) Will it fit the C3G? Or can I fix this starter I have currently? I know it's on the back of the engine and hard to reach on C3G so I haven't looked at it yet.

Here's the video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r9gc5qe5mhwkvs....01.52.mov

Thanks for your help. I tried searching the forum but my limited German doesn't help (and Google Translate isn't that good)
This seems to be the starter. But if you are unlucky, the gear rim of the fly is already damaged.
Can anyone tell me if the newer starters from D7F engines fit C3G?
When searching the Forum, enter the the different terms like this:

(term1) and (term2) and (termx), without the "and" you will not find much.
Ok, I found something, C3G starter is longer and thinner, D7F is thicker and bit shorter.
