RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - cooldriver - 11.08.2018 You mean the pipe clamp ? Always hand-tighten . Plugs 30 Nm. Ignition should be on for 60 seconds before cranking. Good luck. I used tools for everything. You mean cranking so the engine gets fuel and then connect the ignition? RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - cooldriver - 12.08.2018 Number 5 has no torque, you turn till the end of the winding, so the nut is about 1 cm on it. Follow your instincts, there is nothing difficult about it. Ignition on because of starting problems and internal throttle calibration. RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - ronenfe - 12.08.2018 So what do you mean crank the engine for 60 seconds before starting? Remove the spark plug wires. RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - ronenfe - 22.08.2018 You were right, it says 18nm but maybe it's a mistake. RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - ronenfe - 22.08.2018 I meant to attach this: RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - cooldriver - 23.08.2018 So it could be expansion bolts, a print error or 12.9er bolts. Its not that important. What about your car, any problems yet ? RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - ronenfe - 23.08.2018 I still have to put back the distributor, accessory belt and exhaust pipe. RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - ronenfe - 02.09.2018 Man, putting back the spring and nut for the exhaust pipe was one of the hardest things I have ever done, I needed to use a magnet stick to get the nut to the bolt. Does the orientation of the shaft notch matters when I put it back? because It can be put in 180 degrees difference, can't it? RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - ronenfe - 09.09.2018 I put everything back, I have sparks, the injector seems to work, but the car doesn't start. What should I do? RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - Broadcasttechniker - 09.09.2018 Rearrange the ignition cables And check the distributor cover and finger . RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - ronenfe - 11.09.2018 This is the arrangement I have, and I have spark on each wire, do I still need to check the distributor cover? I tried to rotate the finger 180 degrees, but it only goes in all the way only in one position so this is not the issue, what else can I test? do you know the compression values for this model? RE: C3G engine head removal - Twingo 95 - cooldriver - 11.09.2018 New distributor arm new distributor ? Check all connections , control device, ground cable, Map-Sensor, Lambda ..... Compression is 11 bar. Valve clearance checked, outlet 0,2 mm, inlet 0,15 mm? Firing order is 1-3-4-2. Switch on ignition, then wait 60 seconds before starting. Another way is to push gas pedal down for a very short time while cranking the engine. Always check for wet plugs. Tubes all clean and connected, Map sensor tube also very important. |
